We are fortunate to have a beutiful display of Medal of honor recipiant General Raymond G. Davis,four star General of the Marine Corps.
We have a large display of German, Japanese and Russian artifacts and weapons.
Our Museum is dedicated to all those Veterans of ALL WARS who payed the ultimate sacrifice in Defence of our United States of Anerica and those that are fortunate to be with us today.
Memorial Hall as it is known, was built in 1930 by the city of Gastonia,to be used as a military Museum and a community meeting place for all Veterans. Celebrities such as General Summeral and Alvin York were at the Dedication.
During WWII American Legion Post 23 (Where our Museum is Located) was the largest American Legion Post in the state of North Carolina with a total of 2500 Members.
