The Corning Museum of Glass is home to the world’s most comprehensive and celebrated collection of glass. The self-guided tour of the Museum begins in the Contemporary Glass Gallery and continues through the Glass Collection Galleries, showcasing more than 3,500 years of glass. It continues on to the Glass Innovation Center, which offers an interactive look at the way new discoveries in glass have changed the world. The tour includes the Hot Glass Show, a live narrated demonstration of hot glassblowing offered all day, everyday.
You may also rent an iPod Touch to browse the Museum's mobile app as you walk through the galleries. Explore more than 60 objects in the galleries, narrated by the Museum's curators. Complete with a family-friendly option.

Hear from renowned artists, historians and glass experts in our public lectures and seminars. We offer a variety of artist presentations year-round, from free public Meet the Artist lectures in the Museum's Auditorium, to more informal evening presentations by artists teaching and working at The Studio. Each year, since 1961, the Museum has offered an Annual Seminar on Glass: a multi-day event with lectures by historians and experts from around the world
Think kids and glass don't mix? Think again. Our family programs offer kids the opportunity to experience glass through storytelling, music, crafts, and much more. Families Explore programs focus on specific cultures and themes in the Museum's collection through hands-on activities and performances. Little Gather events in the summer are a great way for little ones to enjoy a morning of storytelling and performances, which can be followed by a visit to the Museum afterwards. Kids and teens always receive free Museum admission, making these outings affordable for families!
